Landscape Photography Tips

What Photographers Can Learn From Painting

If you ever see a painting, specifically a landscape painting, the first thing that will come to your mind as a photographer is how well everything is composed. It is fascinating how beautifully a painter tells the story by composing colors on a single frame, exactly like photography. A photographer can learn a lot about the art of composition and guide the viewer’s eye toward the main subject from a painter. You might think that they are such masters of composition because they get to decide everything with their paintbrushes. That is true to some extent but still, photographers can learn a lot and implement their photography composing techniques.

Coming to you from Christian Irmler, this video will educate you on what and how you can learn to achieve better compositions, especially in landscape photography. You will be seeing the side-by-side representation of both paintings and landscape photographs, which will get you to the core of this whole idea.

Check out the video above for the full run-down.
